Shake Out Earthquake Drill
On October 20, 2016 at 10:20, Southport will participate in the statewide Great California Shake Out earthquake drill. Southport has been chosen as the focus school for this important event, and we will be visited by the West Sacramento Police and Fire Department to assist in the drill. At 10:20, students will Duck, Cover, and Hold during the "earthquake" drill, and then do a school evacuation. Teachers will lead class discussions on the importance of practicing these safety drills with students.
